Georgie Lukstein is an MFM patient who been living in New York for almost 20 years. She joined Maternal-Fetal Medicine as a patient about eight years ago.

She made the point of trying to see a new doctor at each visit along the course of her pregnancy, just to make sure that she was comfortable with everyone and make sure that they knew who she was going into the deliveries. Her overall experience was very positive.

“Everyone was supportive and comforting,” she said. “There were a few instances where I came in for outside visits and felt very comforted through the process. It definitely gave me a little bit of anxiety when I found out what it actually meant to be in a group practice, that anyone could deliver me. But ultimately it was a good experience. It gave me a chance to meet all the different doctors in the practice and feel comfortable with them, knowing that any of them could be delivering my children.”
