THE PREGNANCY DOS AND DON’TS, Nathan Fox, MD (Print, Video)
There are many myths and misconceptions regarding what women can and cannot do during pregnancy. While some of these myths come from family, friends, or the media, some may also come from misinformed doctors. And for pregnant women, it can be somewhat confusing when they are constantly being told what they should and shouldn’t do during pregnancy.
Because of this, Dr. Nathan Fox, a maternal-fetal medicine specialist at MFM and Carnegie Imaging, created a clinical expert series article on the Dos and Don’ts of Pregnancy in the Green Journal. The article answers common questions that are asked during pregnancy regarding drinking alcohol, bed rest, the proper vitamins to take, what a woman can and can’t eat, if a woman can dye her hair, and much more.
This article is given out to every patient at our practice, and it gives women the opportunity to be well-informed with evidence-based information, so they can make the best decisions regarding their own pregnancy.
